Espressivo communicates over MIDI with MIDI software and MIDI devices.
MIDI Output
In general, every software and every device which is able to turn MIDI signals into sound output can be used with Espressivo. Examples for MIDI application are:
- GarageBand
- ARIA Player
- CFX
- sforzando
- Numa Player
Suitable MIDI applications will be listed in the Output section. Conversely, Espressivo is also able to use a virtual port, which should be recognized by MIDI processors.
Use Audio MIDI Setup to configure MIDI if your MIDI output application runs on an other machine.
MIDI Input
MIDI input is mainly used to attach a pedal. Available devices will be presented in the Input section. Often, pedals are connected to a keyboard and use their MIDI connection.
